Regg Travels to Work
Regg travels to work every day in his designer backpack, carried with great care by Mr. Pag and as you can see, he is very happy about the arrangement. “This is so snug and cozy, I think I’ll stay in here” said Regg.
His journey to work starts in his backpack, snuggly fitted to the back of his dad who at 5.30am does a two mile walk (mainly uphill) to the train station. Regg say’s “hurry up dad or we’ll be late”. “I’m going as fast as I can Regg” said Dad.
It’s in the station waiting room where Regg decided he would like to try the different seats. “Some of these are comfy and some are really not”, said Regg.
He finally decided that his favourite and most comfy seat was the 2 seater plush sofa (bottom right picture). “This is so comfy, I think I might have a little snooze” said Regg. Then, before dad could even answer, he was fast asleep. “Zzzzzzzzzzz” snoozed Regg. “Regg” said dad......not a peep. “Regg” said dad again.......still nothing. “REGG” shouted dad. This time it worked and he jumped up with a startled look. “Blimey” he said, “I only closed my eyes for a second and WHAM! I was dreaming of fairies and stuff”. “Right Regg” said dad, “we need to get to the ticket office so we can buy our weekly train ticket before the train arrives”. “Alright” says Regg, and hops back in his travel pack.
Two minutes later and they were at the ticket office. There in front of them, behind the glass, sat the big friendly Station Master. “Can I help you both” he said in a gruff voice. It was gruff as he had a bit of a tickly throat. “Yes please” said Regg excitedly. “we need a new ticket please Mr Station Master” Regg blurted quickly. “Of course you can little fellow” said the Station Master, and with that, dad put his card in the machine and pressed some buttons. “Here you are” said the Station Master and handed dad the new ticket. “Thank you” said dad, “thanks a lot” said Regg.
After the ticket was paid for they made their way out onto the platform to wait for the train.
Once they gets on the slow train, Regg doesnt need to get comfy as it’s a short trip to the main International Station where they have to change onto the fabulous (and his favourite) high speed Javelin train. On the high speed train Regg gets himself settled with his newspaper and puts on his favourte songs. Dad makes sure Regg doesnt have the music too loud as it might hurt his ears.
After arriving at St Pancras International Train Station in London, it’s back in the backpack for the final one mile walk to the office.
“Are we there yet?” exclaimed Regg. “Not quite” said dad hurrying along so Regg didnt get grumpy.
“OK Regg, we’re here” said dad. “About time”, “I was beginning to think you were lost” he chuckled. “Now, now Regg, you cheeky chap”. And with that, they entered the office.
